This course helps the student to gain an understanding of some complex topics that represent challenges in corporate reporting. Emphasizes is placed on the critical concepts of liabilities and equities. Topics include liabilities, shareholders equity, complex debt and equity instruments and accounting for income taxes.
Prerequisite: Intermediate Accounting 2 (ACCT 2004/ACCT 8009).
