Examine GPS applications, with emphasis on operating fundamentals, absolute and differential techniques, types of signals, considerations related to GPS data, satellite systems (GNSS), and future trends. A GPS receiver is not required. Experience working with shapefiles and an understanding of datums, projections and vector data model would be helpful.
