This 2-day in-class course provides successful students with a lifetime Non-Loggers Chainsaw Certificate. Students can expect to learn and understand how to sharpen, inspect, maintain and operate a chainsaw. How to fall & limb timber under a variety of conditions. Recognize, identify, and initiate appropriate action in hazardous situations.
A Professional Certificate is available upon arrangements with the instructor at an addition cost. Please advise, before the course, if you are wanting the professional certificate.
DAY ONE Bring a working chainsaw and ALL tools needed to maintain your saw. (wrenches, shop towels, toothbrushes, screwdrivers, gauges, chain etc.)
DAY TWO
Cutting Day - You will operate your saw and build skill through hands-on practice and discussion.
You MUST be wearing ALL REQUIRED Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) listed below.
- Hi Vis item required
- Steel Toe and Shank safety boots
- Chainsaw safety pants or chaps
- Certified chainsaw hard hat with face shield
& ear protection or a certified hard hat, ear protection and safety glasses with side shields
- Seasonally, weather appropriate clothing that fits well
- Light weight leather gloves (optional)
