Academic Policies
Students that register for online courses through Loyalist are subject to the College’s policies. Review Academic Policies in full at www.loyalistcollege.com
Transfer Credits and Exemptions
A transfer credit may be awarded in recognition of credits earned at an external institution. Credits must be completed within the last 7 years from a recognized college or university to be considered for transfer credits.
Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)

Cancelled Classes and Statutory Holidays
Some Continuing Education classes continue to meet during statutory holidays. Please check with your instructor to determine whether your class is meeting on a holiday. If the college is closed due to inclement weather, cancellation of Continuing Education classes will be announced on local radio stations. It is important at the time of registration, you provide a telephone number and/or email address where you can be reached during the day. Occasionally, it is necessary to postpone a class – inclement weather, instructor illness. The instructor and Loyalist make every effort to avoid inconvenience for our students at these times.
